January 11, 2019: Question of the Day: No QOTD today!
Welcome back ladies and gentlemen! I hope that you all had a lovely, restful holiday and congratulations on all your success in semester one! We've got an exciting semester coming up as we embark on our journey into the 20th century. Highlights will include the development of your own historical theory, a swing dance workshop, and a field trip to participate in an amazing historical simulation. Additionally this semester, I want to invite all students to be guest lecturers in class and share insights from your Biographical Essays. If you note a strong connection between your essay and something we're covering in class, I encourage you to jump in and tell us about it. This will make for a richer shared dialogue. Anyhoo, if you weren't in class today, here's what you missed:
Make sure that you get into the habit of checking the class website daily this semester - although if you're reading this, you probably didn't need to be reminded :)
Start thinking about a topic you'd like to cover for your "Theory of American History" essay. I know it's early, but it doesn't hurt to try to brainstorm and zero in on a particular topic or research question of interest to you.
Have a lovely weekend everyone! :)
Best, Ms Hynes
