GRADING BREAKDOWN
The grading policy for this class is centered on helping students achieve mastery of the California State Content Standards in alignment with the college and career ready skills identified in the Common Core State Standards. Accordingly, student work scores will be categorized and weighted in the gradebook as follows:
COLLEGE PREP:
Classwork: 10%
Homework: 10%
Individual Papers/Assignments: 25%
Group Projects: 15%
Quizzes: 10%
Notebook: 10%
Final Exam: 20%
HONORS:
Homework: 15%
Individual Papers/Assignments: 30%
Group Projects: 10%
Quizzes: 15%
Notebook: 10%
Final Exam: 20%
Grades will be determined with the following scale:
100% to 90% = A,
89% to 80% = B,
79% to 70% = C,
69% to 60% = D,
59% and below will result in an F.
Students and parents should check scores early and often. Please see the Syllabus for more grading information. The value of individual assignments not covered in the Syllabus will be given at the time the assignment is handed out.
